Susan Marine, Ph.D., is Associate Professor and Program Director in the Higher Education Master’s Program at Merrimack College. She has 25 years’ experience in sexual violence prevention and response, and her work couples feminist and queer research methods and transformative action to solve pressing problems of exclusion and disempowerment on college campuses. An advocate/educator as well as a scholar, she was the founding director of the Harvard University Office of Sexual Assault Prevention and Response in 2002, and continues to work alongside others to advance effective prevention and intervention strategies to end violence. Her current work focuses on moving toward full inclusion and safety of LGBQ, trans, and non-binary college students.  She has contributed to numerous scholarly journals and books, and is the author of Stonewall’s Legacy: Bisexual, gay, lesbian and transgender students in higher education.
